Miss Iserman: Title I Reading K-2 and Reading Recovery
My name is Jessica Iserman. This is my sixth year teaching at Ed-Co Elementary. In my time here at Ed-Co I have had the chance to teach second grade, first grade, and reading. I currently teach Title I Reading half of the day for grades k-2 and the other half of the day I teach Reading Recovery.
Reading Recovery is relatively new to Ed-Co, so for those of you who are unfamiliar, Reading Recovery is a short-term intervention for first graders having extreme difficulty with early reading and writing. Specially trained teachers work individually with students in daily 30-minute lessons lasting 12 to 20 weeks. After a full series of lessons, about 75% of these formerly lowest students reach grade-level standard.

In my non-teaching time I enjoy being active, especially outdoors. I love to run, workout, ride bicycles, boat, fish, and work with horses. I train and show quarter and paint horses during the summer and fall months.
The most current news in my life is that I am engaged and planning a wedding for next fall.
